I have to start off by thanking Asher for this cigar. Unfortunately, I was interrupted during my note taking, so my notes are a little jumbled. But, I'm going to give it a shot anyway.
Here it is. This is a big cigar. 7 inches and add another inch for the shaggy foot. It has a light brown wrapper with very small veins. The cigar had a couple of soft spots on the initial inspection and a tight pre-light draw. The pre-light flavors were pepper and sweet tobacco.
The pre-wrapper flavors were dominated spice. I could detect a little of the sweet tobacco I initially tasted before lighting. Once the burn hit the wrapper I was able to detect nice earthy tones that complemented the spice that hung around through the entire smoke. Other flavors of note that peeked in and out were coffee, cocoa, and pepper.
The cigar burned fairly well, but I did have to use a draw poker to get a good draw on it. It also got a bit mushy and bitter at about 1 1/2 inches remaining, but all in all I liked the cigar.
