  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

JD came to do an event at a local B&M here on Long Island today, Long Island boy himself, and shared his knowledge of cigars and his experiences in the industry. AnthonyP came and picked me up and I was greeted by a fiver of Tats including some Tenderloins and an Outlaw. I made sure to wear my BOTL shirt which Jonathan immediately spotted from across the room and made a beeline toward us.

We bullshitted a bit and smoked some Ligas, I gave him one of the Tenderloins, yeah one that Anthony gave me, then we talked about everything from cigars to hookahs to kidney stones. Great guy, great smokes and a promise that if I can put together a LI herf he'll sponsor it and even get Pepin or Padron involved. So I'm open for suggestions for venues and input.

BTW, he had nothing but great things to say about BOTL and all of the brothers that he's met.

Was this the event out on the North end of LI? I wanted to hit it but it was a bit far from Westchester.

Had an awesome time with Mike. Jonathan was so cool and very friendly. This herf will be awesome once everything comes together!

I'll start thinking of some places we can do this at.

Sorry that I missed this post. I also had a great time hanging out at the store and propogandizing with the locals. The Tenderloin that you gave me has become a big topic of conversation between me and Pete, and he knows that I love the cigar. I think that its one of the best blends that they got, but I seem to say that all the time about Pepin and Pete cause they got good stuff, like that Triumfadore Robusto - etc.

Anyway, I'm back on the Island, over in Southampton and would be up to a Mini Herf out here if you guys can do it - by Miini - I mean like me and my dad. I got some 2005 VSG and some Agonorsa Leaf Torpedos that I picked up from Tim at Burning Leaf in the Midwest. Tim's got exceptional products in his shop and knows which batches are running good. He was correct on these. ...

Anyway, hit me up on the email drewnica@yahoo.com if you can do it for this Wednesday. If you have any 7th Reserva, or anything exceptional, bring em ...

Best,
JD

Tim,

The Agonorsa were exceptional, but I was not surprised by this. They have sime if the very finest tobacco in the world, and certainly that beautiful Jalapa earthy leaf. We have been one of their largest customers for many years now. Theses were beautiful with an extraordinary beautiful cap a. Paul must be psyched. Good stuff.

Anyway, rocking this new Apple and really enjoying it while smoking a V-Centenial from like 1997. You remember the ones with the bands that shed the gold speckles, right? Shit is a classic.

Yeah I remember those. Sounds from the reports like you guys are having a blast. Next time you are in Chicago we are going to have to do it up right one day. How does a Lake Michigan Fishing Charter Herf sound?
