If you follow the "What's in your bowl" thread, you have seen I am cleaning up a few estate pipes. One in particular is a Savinelli Roma 603. This pipe was in pretty nasty condition when it arrived. I got as far as reaming, salt treatment, and spit shine but found that there was still old wax in the rustication. This morning I got the wife's hair dryer out, heated up the bowl, and went at it with a tooth brush to get rid of the wax. While monotonous, this was working. This also forced me to take a much closer look at the pipe and when it caught the light, I saw this crack in the bowl.

The inside of the bowl is in rough shape, but I can't really tell if the crack goes all the way through.

So what do you think? Is this pipe a shelf queen/parts or should I finish it and smoke it?
