Yep, it's a dental tool. But it looks like it should be a nub tool .....that dentists use.

This is a divot repair tool. You can purchase them at any golf store for a couple of bucks. Sharpen the tips a bit and you have what looks to be a pretty good nub tool. I haven't tried it yet.

I just found one of those, much better than whatever the mystery nub tool I was previously using.
