  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

    Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

What level of interest would there be for a national HERF in Vegas either late this year or earl next year?

Lots of notice so brothers can start saving if needed.

Arrive Friday, brothers can hook up for dinner if they're in town (nothing official) then, on Saturday, meet somewhere for the herf in the evening, maybe have a couple of activity options during the day... whoever is around on Sunday can meet at a Sports Book to watch football and have a cigar.

Thoughts?

I have some interest as well since its not as hard for me to make it since i live just 5 hours south of Vegas. Not saying I can go, but maybe.

I know it will depend on when it is, what activities we can come up with, etc. right now I am just wondering if there is enough interest to flesh the idea out some more.

I've gone with a group of buddies and did a private, but fun and informal, poker tourney at golden Nugget for a $50 buy in. There are also "observational dance venues" we can hit up.

I don't want to overplan it because people need to have time to themselves but a couple of planned activities in addition to the herf might make it more interesting

You guys do know there is an annual, site-sanctioned, all-hands herf right? It's been in Ventura, Chicago, New York, etc... Just saying.

That said, of you ever find yourself headed my way, I'm always up to get into some trouble.

I did not know! I just love Vegas and thought this would be another excuse to go

Oh yeah... It's a hoot. Last year it was out West, and I finally got a chance to go. It was great meeting some of the veterans on the board. It just shows you how much deeper this community exists beyond all the bombs and the passes...

I'm not sure if there is a thread yet, but stay tuned.

Give it time, a new thread will appear when the planning starts. They like to change up the venue each year which is great to give all different brothers a chance to join in.
