  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Good looking cigar. Shiny, light tan wrapper with minimal veins. Nice weight, no soft spots, easy pre-light draw.

Pretty chilly out on the deck today: partly cloudy + windy with temps around 50. After lighting the cigar I found the draw easy with lots of thick, chewy smoke. I knew this was going to be a milder smoke, but was surprised by the flavors. Overall strength was in the mild-medium range but the body was more med-full. The flavors did not change much throughout the smoke, but were very pleasant. Wood, honey, sweet tobacco, and mild spices.

The only negative part was after the midpoint when I removed the band. There was a big glop of excess glue and this caused a large patch of the wrapper to be ripped off. I hate when this happens and think it's really inexcusable for a quality tobacco brand. :disappoin

Still for the price, these are a good value for those who like milder cigars with lots of flavor.

Thanks for the review.
Ive had two and both had quality issues.... Wrapper splitting, and the same glue overdone on the band you mention here happened to me also.

Haven't had this one yet ... but have you guys tried the Sherpa? They may have changed the blend recently, I don't know. But about 2 years ago you could get them on cbid for about $1/stick, and they are one of the best bundled sticks I've had.

I have a few of these I'm eager to try. Thanks for the review!

I also really want to try the LE Park Avenue Maduro that's out now.

I remember getting this stick in a sampler years ago and thinking it was pretty good. Got lost in the landslide of Gurkha sticks after that and never went back.

I also had a park avenue from a gurkha sampler and was very suprised by it. Great mild smoke, especially for the money.
