  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

ok ... i admit im really harsh to my cigars when i hate them ...
i found a "kinda" smoked stick in the back of my freeze the other day ...
ive dunk another stick into a tube of coffee and brandy ...

so now ... imagine the worse cigar youve had ...
the one that youve lite up and it smells like pee ...
the one that you puffed and it left a taste of burning rubber in your mouth ...
the one that you were smoking and it blew up on you ...

what was the worse thing youve done to the cigar ??? :pitchfork

I kill them all...via a slow and painfull burning that begins at their foot.

If it's bad, I just let it go out on its own and never light again.

if its bad from the get go, I give a chance to evolve...and if that never happens I get rid of it. If its bad when its a fresh cigar...relighting later (especially days later) its going to be aweful.

I tear it up and spread it around the yard, insects have an affinity to nicotine, or so I was told. If the problem was a bad burn I usually perform an autopsy to check the construction and moisture content. I had a Graycliff 1666 Presidente last week that gave me fits, I opened it and I swear there was like a piece of wood inside! I'm assuming it was some sort of stem or really thick dried out vein.

If it's really that bad that I cant smoke it after a few minutes... I just let it die out in the ashtray.

(side question) Whats the proper etiquette at a lounge with the butts? just leave them in the ashtray to die out?

Oh I beg to differ. I still have three quarters of an Opus X double corona from the Toast Across America dinner that you lit and then left still sitting in the Stinky ashtray in my cigar lounge. :wtf: The sadest thing I have ever seen.
