  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Hello to all the Brothers out there, I hope y'all enjoyed your weekend! I'm a couple days late posting this, so I'm sorry for the delay but without further ado I present you with the Arturo Fuente Hemingway 'Best Seller'

I've been wanting to try this one for a little while now since every time I've asked people about good Cammies to try this one seems to be mentioned the most. So let's dive right on in, shall we?

CONSTRUCTION: This particlar Hemingway has a unique shape in that the ring gauge gets larger from the head to the foot. It had a firm feel with just a little bit of give and the wrapper had a rough and toothy appearance. Oils were at a minimum, which I've come to expect with Cameroon cigars, and the cigar had only a minor tear at the foot, nothing to worry about.

The draw was a little firmer than I would have preferred but it did reward me with bountiful white smoke. Lighting the Best Seller was incredibly easy because of the nipple at the end, and even when I was just smoking the nipple (wow, can't avoid laughing a little at that) it was still met with plentiful amounts of smoke. The cigar never went out and only required one or two minor touch ups to correct the burn.

FLAVOR: The Best Seller had everything I've come to expect from a quality Cammie like sweet spice and a touch of wood but what was a nice surprise was a milk-chocolate-esque creaminess that hit at about the halfway point and only got better for the rest of the 90 minutes I spent with Mr. Hemingway.

I believe I also picked up what people would call 'Leather' which I thought was cool because this is the first time I was able to correctly distinguish this flavor in a cigar. Though the flavors stayed pretty consistent throughout the smoke I did detect a little pepper towards the end.

OVERALL: I can definitely see why this Cameroon is a crowd favorite. Though it's not the cheapest cameroon at ~$8 it seems that the Best Seller is worth every penny and maybe then some. This is the kind of stick that I would always be okay having in my humi, and though it lacked the 'wow' factor that I got from the Aurora Pref. Robusto I still think it deserves an even 8.0/10. Thanks for reading guys, feel free to let me know if you have any questions!
