  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

My sweet Lord, my sweet Lord..Hare Hare Hare Krishna.
Wow!
I liked the Criollo but the ligero Criollo is a mutter futter!
It's stronger to begin with. I like a cigar that halfway through makes me vomit and then I lay in it for 15 minutes before I start again. Yeah, babies.
The prelight is of honey. This is a stick that's hard to stop sniffing. I lick it and get a salty taste.
The construction is excellent but very veiny. The oily sheen is gorgeous.

The filler and binder are Cuban seed Olor Dominican. The wrapper is a Brazilian maduro.
Upon light up, I get a leathery taste. But very quickly I get a sweet spiciness, red pepper. Bingo.
But only minutes after that it gets very creamy.

The first third is just the spiciness and creaminess. And it went from medium body to full body in a blink of an eye.
I'm already getting the spins.
So I begin dancing with my 125lb German Shepherd. Ol' Zeke is an ex K-9 police dog we adopted when he was 4. He doesn't like dancing and he growls at me but then remembers I'm the only one who feeds him and gives him treats, so he smiles out of necessity. But he keeps his upper lips raised so I don't get any ideas.
I accidentally touch the cherry of the cigar on his nose, during the mating dance, and he winces. But he's come to like the smell of cigars, just not shoved into his puss.

As we close into the second half, I get a very toasty nutty flavor. Now we're talking. The ligero in this stick is doing magical things. Apparently, its 70% ligero. I clean off a spot on the floor.

Shortly into the second half, I get a dried fruit and caramel flavors. Holy Cow! Can you marry tobacco? Or just adopt it?

I get up and clean the vomit off and take a sip of Diet Coke.
I'm good to go.

The cigar is extremely complex. All the above mentioned flavors are intermingling and swirling together. It never gets harsh, just stronger. I'm beginning to see my relatives in a long white tunnel. They are beckoning me towards them. I flip them off and go back to the cigar.

This is the best cigar I've smoked in a long time.

If I were a rich man,
Ya ha deedle deedle, bubba bubba deedle deedle dum.
All day long I'd biddy biddy bum.
If I were a wealthy man.
I wouldn't have to work hard.
Ya ha deedle deedle, bubba bubba deedle deedle dum.
If I were a biddy biddy rich,
Yidle-diddle-didle-didle man.

Pretty spot-on review, thanks.

I still can't decide which one I like the best, the Kristoff Ligero in Criollo or Maduro.

Note:
All of the equipment on the first photo is mine. Didn't need to borrow Mark's stuff.
This was all stuff I used on my wedding night.

I'm confused about the vomit thing.

You puked??? Or is this a piece of cigar terminology that I'm unfamiliar with?

Regardless, excellent review!!

I had a bowl of cereal about an hour before. I must be a weak stick

That's pretty much an empty stomach in my books!!

Particularly for a powerful cigar like this one.

If I'm going to smoke a ligero-laced-lovely, I need to do it within about half an hour of a good meal.
