Any opinions on the La Gloria Cubana Medaille D'Or No 1?

I'm looking at a box from 2000 for a steal. I am thinking of trying five or so. :wink:

I've had this vitola, although mine was a box from '98. Good, medium strength cigar overall (first half mild-medium / second half medium-full) ... flavors of cedary tobacco and mild spices. I came to realize that I was not a fan of this size, so I didn't repeat the purchase.

Have only had the D'Or No. 3. Fantastic. Subtle sweet herbal flavors.

I've got a 10ct box with boxcode OSU August 2000(I like this offering in a 10ct. Wish I had all the MdOs in this). Haven't broken it yet as I've been told these need MINIMUM 8 years to be smokeable. If you get them, let me know how they're smoking as I might want to break into em early if they're worth it.
