  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Has anyone tried one these, tell me what you think. LGC has been one of my favorites since I first started smoking cigars 20 years ago, but not a big fan of the SeriesR do to the fact the burn is really inconsistant.

I have had one "Lujos". I was let down by this size, it was a rough smoke. I did smoke it on the spot after I picked it up. Maybe it needed stabilization time? I dunno. The smallest size "felicias" was one of the first boxes I purchased because I enjoyed the first few so much. This size has never let me down, even when when smoking immediately after purchase. The "felicias" is light and smooth with floral hints. I always enjoyed it in the a.m. My opinion.

It is a big figurado, which is not the easiest cigar to smoke or light properly. Well worth it. I went through four boxes of these in 2005. I try and pick up a box every year. Only a handful of rollers at La Gloria are allowed to make these.

Also, the "felicias" ismaintenance free. The burn always evens out after the light and the ash never falls before I am ready to ash (maybe I have been lucky alot). It was usuall my morning kick back throughout this past summer.

I have a couple from a few years ago when they were in the top 10 smokes of the year, and they are pretty good. Dont know how the newer ones are smoking.

They are in CA's top 25 for 2007. One of the few picks I agree with.

OK, I read the reviews of this, bought 5 from that cursed place where no married man should venture.

Left them in my humidor for a couple of weeks. Took one to a friend's house (he passed away and we were there for support).

Anyway, a glass of Macallan in hand and the LGC in the other and I swear it was one of the best smokes I ever had. Little nutty, with a hint of, dare I say, chocolate.

Easy to light, draw was fantastic and while I was out in the sub-temps smoking it, other people walked in and out of the house. Many commented on how nice the cigar smelled. (That's a first!)

Anyway, generous guy that I am, I gave 2 away to 2 co-workers. One smoked it and loved it. The other still has it in his humidor.

Anyway, I ventured back to that cursed internet place where no man should venture with credit card and bought 10 more of those beauties.

Yes, they are very good.

Sold out. They were $150 and CI dropped them to $104.95. Gone baby gone.

Received my box yesterday, currently resting in humidor. Looking forward to committing a social act of arson later tonight.:smokingbo

Not very good at reviews, but will do my best.
