Craig Mac
BoM 4/10 7/11 12/14
This cigar is distributed by The Cigar Agency, who also distribute the Hammer & Sickle brand. Couldn't find much information on the brand itself other than the cigar is made in the Dominican Republic from Nicaraguan tobacco. Billed as medium to full strength.
Prelight draw was a little spice and a hay flavor to it. Cigar is roughly 4.25 by 48 and I was unable to find this size anywhere to verify. Construction is good with minimal veins with a natural colored wrapper.
Once I fired it up I got hints of a light spice, some cedar and a bit of barnyard. Nothing overly dominating at this point and a bit shallow to the start. Draw is pretty good, really hoping this changes for the better pretty soon.
As I get in to the second third of this little guy I can only describe it as a peppery barnyard flavor and has been fairly one dimensional. Burn and draw have been great, but just found the flavor to be pretty bland for me. Strength picked up a bit and is a little more than a medium.
Final third is more of the same with an oak taste to it. Had to let it go a little after the band. Wasn't a bad smoke, just the flavor wasn't something I personally liked.
