  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I've really liked every one I've tried. Their Goldie's are one of the best cigars I've ever had. I love the Kill Bill's too. Haven't tried their new "classic" line yet, but I've heard nothing but good things about them.

How are your prices, what I have seen have been a little pricey.

Classic is made by Abe at PDR, great cigar. Big bang for the buck which is typical of PDR
El Diario is made by Raices Cubanas, bigger price but again a good cigar
Family series is made by Graycliff, big price tag, havent smoked it
Goldie is made at El Titan de Bronze, everything from ETB I have smoked I have loved but have not had the chance to try this one yet

Just wondering, but 3 cigar makers making cigars for 1 brand is that odd?

Surprisingly it isnt. If a brand owner truly wants 3-4 blends that stand apart it is probably the best way to go about it.

Cool, just have not seen it much, but maybe I just don't hear about it more.

I think it is something we will see more moving forward. There are only so many mainstream manufacturers producing cigars yet there are so many brands out there. It is getting more and more difficult to produce products that in all honesty dont taste the same.

As far as the Goldie goes I kick myself everyday for not asking for one when I was at the shop watching Maria roll them! They made ten thousand and were sold out in ten days! My last trip to Florida I did got a chance to smoke a fresh rolled Redemption lancero which is rolled exclusively by her as well. One amazing stick it was! If you don't know the history behind her it is quite interesting, she was among the first group of females recruited to roll cigars in Cuba and hand picked a second time to roll cigars exclusively for Castro and his inner circle. El Titan de Bronze is my favorite shop and try to get my hands on anything rolled there. All of their rollers are level 9 from Cuba and they specialize in Entubado production. Love their stuff! If you are a maduro fan you have to try the Redemption maduro, my favorite cigar to date. That being said I can't wait to try the Cremo classic maduro which is to hit the market in a couple months. I'm supposed to be getting a couple sticks before hand but we'll see. I was there during the blend phase and tried several different blends while I was there, all I know is one that I tried was "the" blend I believe, they were all tasty!

I agree on the Goldie... Amazing stick. The Classic is fantastic. I'm gonna work my way through the rest of the line.

I've only smoked the Goldie so far--very expensive for the size, but I dare say it's worth it. Awesome cigar. I'd like to find more.
