  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Does the La Riqueza taste like the Padron 1964 to anyone else?

To my palate, it's about the most similar I've ever tasted.

LOL, funny you say this as that's how I describe it to all my customers. I feel they are a similar flavor profile, however the Padron leaves a very dry taste on you palate and the LaRicky leaves a very moist feel there. I prefer the LaRicky by far.

I too get some spiciness from a La Ricky, especially the #2--not a ton of spiciness, mind, but a little. I'll be able to compare it to a Padron '64 sometime very soon :widemouth

The first La Riqueza #1 I tried I thought it was a Padron regular line maduro. The next I tried was much sweeter and better tasting with nice changes along the way, almost like cotton candy at one point. I find La Riqueza similar to regular line maduro with the spice and earth qualities but a little stronger and more flavor; but not as strong as the anniversary series which I find too strong and too expensive for what they offer.

Not that I can recall, but I haven't had a La Ricky in a little while.

I was thinking yesterday that the La Aurora 100 Anos torpedo I smoked yesterday (Thanks Jeff) had some similiarities to Opus X. Anybody else notice this? I better go smoke another Opus to be sure.

For the price it's a great smoke, but "64's got the voodoo mind trick going hard to compare.
