  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Picked up a few of these at the local shop. A well constructed robusto with a perfect draw. Flavors were primarily
leather with undertones of cedar, vanilla, and a cinnamon spice. Very
smooth with a creamy finish. Slightly jagged burn and I
did encounter a slight tunneling issue half way through that required a
few touchups. The final inch I started to taste a slight ammonia that
should fade with a few months down time in the humi. Overall I was
pleasantly surprised (not a big CAO fan). This is not a complex cigar;
the flavors remained consistent throughout with only a slight fade of
the spice as the cigar progressed. I paid just under $5 for the stick
and for the price it is hard to pass up. Will be picking up a few
more of these to enjoy as a morning or lunch time smoke.

Sorry for the phone pics!

Thanks for the review and the pics! Those are actually some really good pictures for a phone. I really like the stick, as long as I can get it to burn all the way down. So far I'm 2 for 4, which isn't a very impressive rate.

Jason, nice review and picks my friend!

I have smoked a good handful myself, they might be lighter in strenght but make up for it in flavor I believe.

I think they are using the same Ligero in it that they use in the LX2.

Nice pics & good 'to the point' review! These seem to need a bit of time to 'settle' & if the draw is good, I really enjoy this stick. Of the 5 or 6 I've had - half of them were very good, the other half either had draw issue or tasted young & bitter. A few months sitting on the shelves & I'll pick up a few more...

Thanks for the review, Jason, I've been curious about these. I'm still picking through the CAO line, so far the MX2 is the one I like. The others I've tried have been just OK, although I have some Soprano's resting. Maybe I'll try reviewing one of those when the time comes.

Thanks for the review. The pics seemed pretty good for a phone.

I keep telling myself that I need to pick up one of these to try, but always get distracted with other sticks.
