  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

This 7.5×49 stick offers a medium tan wrapper with slight imperfections such as tears, nicks, discolorations and splotches. It has minimal veins, tight seams, a soft paper bag feel and even slightly spongy construction and a sweet barnyard aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw, tons of rich medium body smoke with a core of pepper and sweetness. The finish is long and zingy leaving an oily mouthfeel. The first third burns pretty quickly, giving medium-full body flavors of a creamy leather and pepper with a bit of zing on the finish but not huge like first light. Burn is good but not razor sharp and the smoke output is excellent. The 1/2 way point comes at 1:10 with no changes to performance, it continues to be an excellent performer. The ash fell off in one big chunk, holding right to the 2nd third. 1 hour 30 minutes in, flavors change to a medium body creamy nut and wood combo, still with very good performance, only starting the last third. Ending at 1:50, the remainder was the same.

Great review!

I'm really anxious to try these because of your reviews, and have written to the company twice to see if shipping to Canada is possible, but I have yet to hear back.

Thanks again Bryan! I'm still in a dilemma if I should pick up some of these or the BP. Or both. Ughh. Then the vitola choices. Damn.

I personally find the double corona size just too large for my tastes.

If they had a lancero, I'd be all over that.

You just need to find a solid mule :eyepoke:
There are several around if you know where to look and who to ask - and if you look after them they're almost always willing to help :cbig:
I owe a great deal of my cigar collection to these folks and couldn't have done it without them :starrylov

A double corono is too large for me as well.
There is a lancero!
I'm looking at the lanceros, robustos, toros, and maybe the shortys (for cold weather, or morning smokes).
Sigh.... decisions decisions.
