Cigar: Leccia (Les*See*Ya) Black
Size: 6 x 50
Cost: $7-$9
Burn Time: 1 hour 45 minutes

Pre Light:
A well crafted, very firm packed cigar with a milk chocolate wrapper that has a few large visible veins. The aroma of the wrapper reminds my of my uncle Bob's pipe rack. An obscure reference I know, but if you have pipes that have been smoked with a number of tobacco blends that are now resting in a rack, that's what the smell reminds me of.
1st 3rd:
The cigar has a snug, but not strenuous draw that is pulling a lot of billowy smoke. The initial flavor is that of a light, oily, sweet tobacco on the draw with perfume and cotton candy flavors on the finish. The construction of the cigar is immaculate with a razor sharp burn and perhaps the thickest wrapper I have ever seen. The smoke coming of the foot is very aromatic and more pipe like than cigar like. This unique aroma is also noticed by my wife who rarely enjoys cigar smoke wafting in her direction.
2nd 3rd:
The ash held on almost exactly through the first third and fell off almost as if on cue with the start of the 2nd 3rd. The smokey quality of the fire cured process is really coming through now. Woody flavors like that you would smell at a bonfire are also emerging with some hints of cinnamon. The body is a solid medium with really chewy smoke that leaves an oily flavor on your lips & tongue. The perfume flavors remain on the finish.

Final Third:
There were no flavor shifts heading toward the label and the body remained a medium throughout. The burn remained perfect mostly due to the construction, but the switch from gel jars to the HF 65 beads has made a huge difference in the way my sticks are burning.

Summary:
I have been eagerly anticipating the launch of the KFC MUWAT which, to my understanding, is supposed to have an even more dominant fire cured flavor than the Leccia. The fire cured flavors of the Leccia were dominant, but not overpowering. I didn't mind the perfume flavor that lingered on the finish, but I could see how this could get annoying to some. I read something online that said you are either going to love this style of tobacco or you are going to hate it. I looked up the cigar after I finished my review and had some discrepancies from the marketing description. They claim there should be a smokey whiskey flavor from the wood, but I did not pick that up, and while the cigar is listed as a med-full body, it stayed at medium through out. Would I recommend the Leccia Black? If you are looking for a change of pace from a traditional cigar absolutely try this stick. However, I would suggest going with the smaller 4x48 size so you don't get burnt out on the flavor.
