This place IS my vacation
Ive been on a LFD streak the past few days; loving their cigars...So I decided to review this one...never had it before. It is about a 7/10 on the full-bodied line of LFD's Ligero line.
Appearance: The oscuro wrapper is almost black and extremely oily. Smells great. The draw is absolutely perfect. Starting this cigar off 100%!
First Third: Initally, this cigar lit very easily and started off sporting a heavy black pepper/wood mixture. Not too over powering, but thats probably because i just ate. The black pepper soon died down into a very mild peppery taste that is very pleasant and gives off a great spice thru the nose. other flavors at this point include: Cedar, a "barnyard" taste, and a slight hint of black licorice. Very, very enjoyable.
Second Third: Flavors are starting to become more and more sweet and adding more spice to the exhaled smoke...the barnyard taste has left and a nice heavy woody flavor has taken the spot of it. nothing "new" is shining thru at the moment.
Last Third: the smoke has really picked up now and has a hot taste to it...getting very spicy and any trace of sweetness has left. the woody notes are still present but in the background of the spice. I picked up a flavor right at the end that really reminded me of Woodford Reserve Bourbon
The cigar ended very spicy, but great! Loved every part of this smoke. You will def. want to eat before enjoying this smoke, i loved everything about it!
