  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

This is a dual flame cigar lighter, with both a natural soft flame plus a jet torch for those days when you need the extra oomph to overcome the wind. The soft flame is actualted by a downward sliding thumb lever on the side, while the torch is ignited via tilting the top over the side. It features a metal capped case with solid plastic inserts, rubberized grips on the front and a fuel level sight window. A single adjustment screw on the bottom is joined by a fill nipple. Burn time for the natural flame was 4:42 while the torch gave 5:10.

I love these kinds of lighters that have a natural flame as well as a torch. A natural flame for me is the best light for a cigar while a torch is great when conditions are not favorable for lighting up. One strange fact is that the torch light lasts longer than the natural flame...usually it's the other way around as a torch will burn fuel faster. Will have to look this lighter up and price it out and if it's good will add it to my stable of lighters...that would be number 32. For the price of around $50 I wish it had a lifetime warranty like my Xikar Exodus.
