  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Last night I saw and used a Lotus 44 Series "Contour" Single Flame lighter and was simply awed.

That said, not wanting to make an impulse buy, can anyone shed light on this device? Namely, the quality, value and whether or not at the $55-$75 price point, are there others out there I should consider?

I found the lighter to be easy to use, lightweight, one that I could carry around and not feel like my pockets are weighted down. With that, I am also interested in knowing how the finish holds up.

Any help would be great. Also, if anyone knows where the best price on one of these is, I would be interested in that as well.

Thanks in advance.

I dont know much about the Lotus lighters (maybe some other brothers could chime in...) but personally I have two Xikar lighters. They are great pieces and I would recommend them strongly. They are reasonably priced, have a lifetime warranty, have a large selection of styles and all of their products are eligible for a free leather sheath which helps protect the finish.

I have a Blazer Little Buddy which is alot more bulky then this lighter.. But it holds a ton of fluid lights alot of cigars before re filling and never fails and it only cost me 36 dollars on Amazon with free shipping..

I also have a thin lighter like the Lotus its the S.T. Dupont Extend Mini Jet.. It was a gift but it costs around 110 or more.. The lotus is basically a cheaper version of this one it looks like.. If you liked the louts buy it.. Just fill it with good Butane and you should be set.. Hope This Helps :cjump:

I have had a Lotus 14 for 2+ years now and could not be happier with it. I got mine at an event and they knocked off $35. Apart from something like that it seems elighters.com generally have some of the best prices out there. I've never ordered from them, so I can't speak to their customer service. Though I do know of two guys whose Lotus 34 puked out on them, it's possibe I've been lucky.

I have 3 table Lotus lighters and they have been flawless for the last 2 years. I cant recomend them enough. I know some have had some issues but they are often corrected being they didnt compleatly blead the tank 100% when filling it.

Thanks Guys.

I think I am going to simply pull the plug on this. Yeah, it's somewhat of an impulse buy but what the heck, gotta help stimulate the economy.
