  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Pa,

Started off with some toasted nut flavor and a peppery finish.

It kept the peppery finish but transited to a charred nutty flavor, which I really enjoyed.

The pepper is now nowhere to be seen and the flavor is now a muted, slightly charred marshmallow*

Its now turned to a mild tobacco with loads of smoke

The final transition is to a toasted tobacco flavor

I really enjoyed this cigar especially after the half way point. At $12 it's a little steep for such a small cigar but it is worth it.*

I picked up 3 boxes from cigar.com a couple of weeks back. They're out of stock right now, but keep checking there, they're on order.

Nice review.

Like you, I got that nut flavor as well. I could have sworn it was cashew.

Nice pics.

For ME, the aroma is so good, unless it was a picture perfect day with no wind, I would smoke it inside. That said, I have to go to a B&M to smoke in order to protect my marriage. Go figure! :devilhead

These are the next box I plan to try to get my hands on, now that my Face is secure. Have a pair in the humidor resting for the blog reviews, but they just smell so damn good, I'll probably blind buy a box...

Nice review!

Can anyone comment on any possible differences between the pre-release Rats and the boxed versions?

I finally smoked my pre-release I received last year in September a few weeks ago and it was great. It still had quite a bit of strength after a year of resting.

Nate to me the Reg production could still use more time because the flavors are still some what muted compared to the flavors in the Preproduction Rats. My 2 cents.

Nice review! I have been underwhelmed by the LP #9s and T52s, but this one blew me away! I only had 1, but had to go back and grab box.

Nate, I had heard that there may have been possibly 19 different "pre-production" versions of the Rat. Brooks may be able to confirm that.
