I have a 3 hour drive ahead of me tomorrow morning and am thinking of smoking an '03 Partagas Lusi.

How strong is the nicotine affect in this cigar?

I didn't find the ones from Dec. '03 to be very strong. I don't think you will have a problem. Now the ones from pre-'95, these will take your head off (at least that is what I hear!)

I agree that the recent vintages are not strong; good choice. A HDM would also be nice!

If I had a HdM DC or churchill I would fitz. I prefer the HdM spice to the Partagas spice but we'll see.

I have a soft spot in my heart for the Party Lusi's. I love that Partagas Spice and find them to be very tasty. I don't think it's necessarily "strong" per se, but the smoke is nice and large and near the last 1/4 I've noticed that they've kinda kicked my ass near the end. Maybe I'm a wussy-man but I think the last half kicks in rather nicely
