  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

These were purchased from JR Cigars off of a weekly special. After reading ther ad and claims of the value I did some research and found that yep, that's what some people sell them for so I thought it would be a good buy. I got 10 of these, 10 Stradivarius Churchill's and a desktop humidor for Under 100 bucks so it was my first big (to me) cigar buy.

Cigars have a mild woody aroma, light brown wrapper with not a lot of veining. The one I smoked toasted well and had an even burn. I also notices it would have a really long ash if you let it.

Flavor was supprisingly different than the unlit aroma. Stronger than I was used to but probably mild to most. They also burned for quite awhile. This one lasted well over an hour and I finally just got tired of smoking and pur it out. I did enjoy the smoke though. Personally I don't think they would be worth the price they go for at most retail sites I looked at but with the buy I got from JR they were a great purchase.

I'm a fan of the Stradivarius, just not the churchill size. A good cigar in my opinion, it's just that General has over-priced them for what they are.

To the original poster:

Just because the ad says you should like it because it is the epitome of a high end cigar, does not mean that it is. On the flip side of that, just because we say they are over priced mediocre cigars does not mean you shouldn't smoke them. If you like them and got them for a good price, then that is awesome. Also if they were a bit strong for you, they may be a really good place to start Generally those are the weaker end of the spectrum. However for what the MAC and the Strat cost there are far more flavorful cigars. My first box purchase was a box of Mac Hampton Court. and I still use a Mac Vintage tubo box for storing my longer singles.
