  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Mad Elf, 21st Amendment Fireside Chat and Shlafly craft beers are not available in the Chicago area. I'm not a big beer drinker, but enjoy seasonal beers during the holidays. These were recommend to me, but I cannot purchase locally.

Thank God, limited run cigars are not as limited in distribution as small craft beers.

Does anyone have a few to spare?

Happy Holidays.

Have you checked with Binnie's or Kenwood Liquors to see if they can order it. I know Kenwood (Homer Glen) will order things..... I've done it for a few small micro-brews I wanted to try.

Liquor distribution is weird. I'll try Binny's, but they can only get items through their regular channels. As big as they are... they can't get everything.

Kenwood only has 3 locations.... Chicago, Oak Lawn, and Homer Glen but they get some excellent micros. If they can get it I'd be more than happy to pick it up and meet you somewhere.

I am a big fan of Mad Elf but this years batch was really nothing to write home about, the alcohol was front and center, more like cough syrup than any Ive had before...Ill stash these two in the cellar for a few months and revisit in July. If you want a really awesome holiday brew see if you can find some St. Bernardus Christmas Ale...a bit late but you might get lucky...
