  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

First review here, so be gentle - no pics, sorry. :cjump:

Origin : Nicaragua
Format : Robusto
Size : 5 x 50
Wrapper : Ecuador
Filler : Nicaragua
Binder : Nicaragua

Got a couple of singles of this new stick from Port Royal in Solon, OH recently. After a few weeks in the humidor, I took advantage of the tropical 50 degrees here today and headed out to the screened-in porch to light it up.

Construction was great and the Ecuador wrapper looked almost maduro in color, which makes sense when you consider the flavors I got out of it. Burn was razor sharp for the first half and started to wander in the second but didn't require any touch ups.

This smoke reminded me of a cross between a Padron maduro and a spicier Nic stick like a Padilla. Smoking in fairly cool temps with a breeze blowing takes away from the enjoyment for me but this baby really brings some flavor to the party. All in all, about 50 minutes of enjoyment and I will definitely add a box of these in the near future.

I'm a fan of the CT Exodus 1959 Maduro (entire 59 line for that matter), but I haven't tried these. I think it's a joint effort with famed Felipe Sosa if I'm not mistaken.....thanks for the review!

I had this for the first time a week or two ago. Thought it was very good flavors found it creamy as well as nutty.
