  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Pre Light - Leather, hay, sweet tobacco

Cold Draw - Earthy, sweet

Appearance - Deep reddish brown, oily and smooth, slightly toothy, small veins, noticeable seam.

Light - Cocoa, fruit/nut, bready, tannic

1st Third - Cedar, black pepper, cocoa, and a subtle interesting herbal/floral note almost similar to thyme. Very astringent mouthfeel drying the tongue, cheeks, and gums. Retro is mostly floral with a little cocoa. Medium strength, med-full body.

2nd Third - The cocoa picks up bringing in some cream and evening out with the cedar and pepper. The mouthfeel also lets up on the astringency a bit getting more silky and savory. Theres still the occasional subtle herbal note to the finish. The retro is heavier on the cedar and pepper but the cocoa is there. Med-full strength and body.

Final Third - Some of the fruity and nutty notes from the initial light are now making their way into the profile joined by sweet spice and the sort of barnyard herbal character you might find in a saison. The pepper and cedar take the back seat supporting a mocha note through the finish. Retrohale is pepper and sweet spice. Med-full strength and body

Construction - This cigar performed very well. Easy draw, good smoke production, slightly wavy but even burn, sturdy ash.

Overall - The body of this cigar was a rollercoaster ride as the transitions in mouthfeel were just incredible. Very unique.

Nice Review brother! Mbombay certainly has a decent social media presence. I've got one single perfecto but cant seem to figure out what line it is so I can't figure what exactly the cigar is. I won't smoke it until I figure it out.
