  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Up first was the KeSara. Well constructed. Shaggy foot which I am ambivalent about. As long as the lit leaves don't drop I guess it's ok. It was well filled but had a surprisingly easy draw. Extremely well constructed. The flavors were smooth and consistent throughout. It wasn't my favorite choice of flavors (kind of Sumatra like) but fans of that style should love this stick. There was nothing wrong with it other than just not my style. I would recommend it
the habano robusto was much more to my liking flavor wise. The wrapper was dark and oily with a closed foot. The huge band took a little effort to remove, which you must do for this size stick A smaller band is underneath.

This stick was also well constructed. The big plus for this one is its use of South American leaf. When used in moderation,as it is here, it adds a slightly sweet richness that other leaves don't have. It's quite unique. I enjoyed it immensely and would have no problem purchasing more if the price was right
Both of these sticks show excellent craftsmenship. They have distinct flavors but don't try to knock you over with strength. They're a good mid plus strength in my estimation. I'm usually very skeptical of new brands, but these guys are on the right track!

Got two for review on Saturday. Giving them a few days in the humidor before I review. Will probably smoke this coming weekend.
