  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

so, first holiday weekend of the season, kids! who's got what lined up? what kind of trips, what kind of meals, and what smokes you got lined up for the holiday?

and also, who has to work it? i know all about rocking the holidays, so you can bit a little commiseration here, even while you can live vicariously.

also, if it's a good spread on a meal, i want pix. it's been too long since we had a little "foodgasm" thread going. o)

Nothing major planned. Wife has to work, which means I will be watching the kids. I love the kids, but not exactly the relaxing holiday experience. Fourth of July will be different thou.

Made home made Greek burgers tonight. Minced palmetto olives/feta cheese and ground round. Patties and onto a hot grill. on a soft pretzel bun with mayo/Greek yogurt cucumber sauce. Weather was phenomenal today. Went to the driving range after dinner and now a QdO 02 Corona and Founders centennial IpA. Just the start of a holiday I'm off the firehouse. God bless 10 years and enough time on the job to at least get Memorial Day off!!!!!

Went fishing with my dad today, smoked a couple of cc's of his and fileted 150 bluegill to stock up the freezer. 'Twas a good day finished off with taking my daughter to the local jumpy jump place for her 7th birthday. Both my kids got their crazies out and passed out cold.

Playing a two man scramble for the next two days. 36 holes each day. Lots of beer and smokes- probably mostly of the yard gar variety.

More golf with the wife Monday and maybe some tubing on the lake.

Spending tomorrow celebrating 5 years of marriage, followed by a nice dinner out (my wife just glared at me when I suggested the dollar menu). Hoping to go hiking for a few hours one day, then catch a parade on the other. Tuesday (4 day weekend for me!) will be spent chaperoning my daughter's first ever field trip. Hoping for some decent weather in the next few days!

Waiting for my flight from KC to Dallas. Then omw to Roatan. Finally making up the trip I was suppose to take 4 months ago. Pretty excited about it. Planning on golfing, deep sea fishing, snorkeling and swim with whale sharks.

I've got a phone interview in about 45 minutes. Hopefully that goes well. No real plans other than that. Maybe do some grilling and swimming with lots of beer and cigars mixed in.

looks like i am having some kids over sunday, some grilling and probably smoking. my boys are mostly pipers, so probably a couple bowls on the back patio, or possibly adma's box of regios reserva (you're still an ass, sir).

figured, the dia de los muertos vibe fits with memorial day, so at least burn a las calaveras to celebrate those who made it home, and those who didn't. plus that cigar is just hot. o)

First I want to recognize the active duty and retired military members on the board, as well as those men and women who did not make it back home, Thank you for your service!:usaflag:

Well, I'm currently in the office prepping for the 2 meetings I have with clients today. After work, I plan on getting my car washed, walking the dogs with a nice cigar, then spending the rest of the afternoon by the pool at the Racquet Club. Tomorrow and Monday are more of the same, dog walking with a cigar and hanging out at the pool.

I think I have some steaks and deer sausage in the freezer I can fire up on the grill at some point.
