We all know now that the anti-smoking Nazis have won. The Metropolitan Cigar Society (
http://www.metrocigar.com) will be losing its venue at The Brownstone. However, we are not taking this lying down.
We will be leasing 3000 sq ft of space in an industrial building and operate as a private club. Members will need a key card to enter the space making sure no one could consider our facility as being "public." Members will staff the club. We'll have a Main Meeting Room for our general meetings on the first Wednesday of each month, a game room (pool, poker, etc), locker area, and a lounge area with ice machine, coffee machine, TV and internet. We'll be open to members initially Monday - Friday from 5:00 - 11:00. You would bring your own adult beverages and keep them in your locker.
We're starting a new for profit corporation and selling stock to raise our initial capital ($30,000.). Actually, we're going to make an in-depth presentation to our general membership at the February meeting. Anyone interested should attend.
