I sure hope they get this shit worked out by the 16th...I'm going to Mexico City for a week for business and I'd sure hate to be there during a riot. However, my hotel is about a block from the LCDH so all is not lost!

No chance that it will be cleared up by the 16th. This is going to be a major upheaval in Mexico...the ruling party will surely declare its candidate as the winner (initial results show a 1% victory margin) and the leftist party will never accept that without a ballot by ballot count.
You can also count on the leftist party to initiate and promote civil unrest.

yep, big problems there now. Fox is out, he did his 6 years as of this December. The issue is a Marxist candidate vs a conservative like Fox. The conservative thinks he won, and it looks like it, but the Marxist jackass isn't going down easy and he's inciting the poor people saying the elections were rigged. In fact, he tried to have them rigged in his favor and it's not looking like he won. Not looking like a pretty picture. They are doing the recount right now...

Chavez got the oil from Venezuela back into the hands of the people who lived there instead of multinational corporations who tried to control the privately owned media and put their guy in office. If the people vote for someone and the other guy goes and pulls the same crap again claiming he should be president then more power to the people who don't just sit back and let it happen.
