Cigar hobbyist's, enthusiast's, aficionado's and admirer's have an event coming in the 2011 Midwest Cigar Summit being held July 29-30 in the beer garden at Jimmys Bar. The event is free and open to the public.
There will be beer and spirit samplings, raffles, food and more. Cigars will also be available by vendors and manufacturers from around the United States, including STL Cigars and Midwest Cigar Connection.
The event will again benefit Cigar Rights of America (CRA). The organization works to fight tobacco tax increases and smoking bans. Last year, the Summit raised $1,000 for CRA, in addition to recruiting 25 new members. Organizers hope to double those numbers this year.
The Midwest Cigar Summit focuses on raising awareness of cigar issues, as well as providing attendees with a comfortable atmosphere to enjoy their hobby. It was formed in 2004 in Havana and has grown into a nationally recognized cigar organization.
