Found some unexpected time to smoke a cigar this afternoon (which is always an awesome thing!) so I decided on a Dirty Rat that Hiko (onibakushinka) had sent me as part of a bomb few weeks ago....Thanks again, Hiko! :tiphat:
This Rat was current/recent production, so I was trying to remember how the OG Rats were to sort of compare/contrast.
Seemed like the predominant note running consistently through the profile was wood...Sort of an oaky flavor that was really enjoyable. There was a nice amount of spice as well, and the cigar was nicely balanced.
The burn (typical of most Saka/Drew creations) was remarkably even, with no touch ups needed during the entire smoke. The draw was easy, allowing tons of smoke on every draw. There was also the usual heavy stream of smoke coming off the ash...Just incredible construction.
As far as the comparison...I really thought this was much smoother than the OR Rats I have had. It seemed to be a bit less potent, but in a good way; with lots of flavor.
Really a nice, enjoyable cigar.
