Monte Especial #1 -- Rolled way too tight

Hi everyone. My last couple of boxes of Monte Especial #1's (lonsdales) were rolled so tight as to have effectively no draw. Every single one. I have a few that I left in the humi for a few years just hoping they'd loosen-up, but nothing.

These used to be my favorite Monte, even better than the #2.

Has anyone else encountered similar issues?

Also, as I am new to the group, please let me know if this should have been posted in another area and I'll fix it.

Second vote for into and...

What is the humidity on these? try dry boxing them for a while to dry them out some. Less humidity will shrink the leaf and might correct the draw. Expecialy with thin ring cigars I like no more than 65% and find problems around 70%. Good Luck.

ive never had draw problems either.

Never had draw problems with these but here are a few tricks I use on other cigars:

-cut the cigar & drybox for a few days. This should losen things up nicely
-store at a lower humidity (<65%)
-take the wrapper leaf off of a cigar to allow it to expand, & thus open up the draw, as it burns & heats up. This will not work if the binder leaf has tears in it.

I have had mixed luck with the especial 2's. I have a 1 in the humi, I will let you know when I smoke it...
