A couple years ago, a mere inch of snow locked up traffic around the Raleigh-Durham area for 8-12 hours. It took that long for people to drive home for all the gridlock. Some left their cars on the side of the road and walked the last several miles to their homes. Kids slept at their schools because they couldn't get home. I shit you not....

Yes sir, that is almost exactly how much we got. Fortunately I was able to get my wifes blow dryer out and melt the snow in front of the garage so we could get out.

This is just two cars that got stuck trying to make it up the hill we live on. After this photo was taken 3 more cars got stuck as well. It looks like a used car lot and one poor guy was knocking on our door asking if he could park his Suburban in our driveway until the road thaws. I should be charging $5 an hour as I'd make couple hundred dollars today. Poor guy, I felt bad for him.

Nice, it is not that bad in Buckhead, but granted people are fools behind the wheel so there have been some issues. A bunch of black ice on Roswell Rd last night that is for damn sure. But I have beer and coffee so I will be alright.
