  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Nope. Yup, mine was a useless post. But I thought someone should respond.

Anyone into it? I do some amateur rock climbing...id love to get into the snowy mountains and danger side of it...
In high school and college, I did a lot of rock climbing, 4 season backpacking, white water rafting, and back-country skiing. Like any other activity, you need to be technically proficient and you MUST know what your limit is. If you do not know either of those, you are going to get hurt. Even if you know both of them, you can get hurt or worse. Death is always a possible consequence.

Have fun and enjoy yourself.

ive done a fair amount of rockclimbing, mostly top rope though, i never learned how to lead climb and i dont have my own rack. I also worked forest service in the cascades out in Washington for a summer and did an insane amount of backpacking up some pretty damn big mountains out there.

I climbed Mt Fuji when I was stationed in Japan and that was a trail all the way up. Trails, I'll stick to those.

I dabbled with mountain climbing a few years ago out here in Colorado but I don't mess with it anymore...it was fun but my body just can't handle it anymore.
