Man! A cigar that's based on the infamous Drew Estate in 4.5 x 50 Baitfish!! Hell yeah! Never had one - but who cares... I think I am in love!
Drew's copy - MUWAT Nightcrawler:
A 4 ½ x 50 “Short Robusto” based on the stronger Bait Fish blend. Drew Estate’s customers asked for it, and we’ve delivered – A bigger Bait Fish size. The MUWAT line will also debut a new packaging style at the IPCPR tradeshow.
These things have been out for a while and yet, a quick search of the term "NightCrawler" in the old BOTL search function produces....squat!
So what does that mean? There are more than a few Drew Estate Junkies here on BOTL! I decided to try for myself. I bought a ten pack about a month ago now, and today - well today I burn. Stay tuned!
First ten puffs - acrid. Very acrid
. Yuck!
As I dig deeper, it becomes clear this is the Baitfishes cousin, but something is missing. This one is way more woody vs the Baitfishes dirty tones. But you can tell it's trying.
Then it dawns on me... the cigar is right at that point in it's resting stage that it's going to taste off. And it does taste off. This has happened to me more than a few times - so lucky, I can spot it now. In spite of this, I continued to smoke it down, but it never got better - nore would it. The cigar just needs a bit more time resting before reviewing.
Review canceled.
What a drag! Oh well - it happens. I'll update in a about a month or so.
What about you? You have a take on this stick?
