okay guys this is my first review of a cigar. Any and all feedback is welcome. If I am wrong with terminology, or some info in the review please tell me. (photos were linked with dropbox so you may need to log in to view them, I couldn't connect the files any other way as they said too large to upload when I tried to directly upload them from the computer.)
This is the Padillia Miami Maduro in Torpedo. Its a 61/2 by 54 stick with a Mexican San Andreas Wrapper and a Cuban seed Nicaraguan filler. Full strength. They are about 12-14$ a cigar online. I looked into it and rolling of these cigars is done only once every two months so they may be hard to find. I haven't watched or read any reviews on this cigar or smoked one before today. This is my view in my taste.

(NOTE: when I started smoking cigars a friend explained a few "flavors" to me. So the terms I use may not be what you would use. When I say leathery I was taught that that is a taste that gives a feel of comfort or brings back memory's something comforting. Not the actual taste of leather. When I say creamy I mean the taste you would have in your mouth after drinking cream like you would put in coffee not milk.)

The wrapper is a nice deep brown. Very toothy with small veins. The band is very aesthetically pleasing, which I feel is a nice touch on a cigar. ( I am a band collector).

Pre-light draw didn't have a ton to it. Slightly sweet tobacco taste and that was about it. The draw was loose but not so much to cause a problem. It smelled like a slightly sweet bread. I toasted the foot and lit it with a single flame torch.
1ST 3RD
Photo is about 15 min into the first third.

The first third started as a mildly sweet tobacco, with a slight pepper on the retro-hail. The smoke had a sweet woody smell. About the time I took the photo ( about an inch in) the flavor shifted to a sweet bread and almost a hint of cocoa on the draw with a core sweet tobacco taste. The smoke also became very thick and chewy. Almost like you actually had something in your mouth. It left a dry feeling in my mouth, but not so much that I felt overly parched. The finish was a semi sweet tobacco and lasted all the way to the next draw. Not quite to the second third it picked up a savory taste. I have never had this in a cigar before and it was quite pleasant. The ash fell off Just after the photo.
2ND 3RD

Right at the beginning of the 2nd 3rd I had to fix the burn, it was running on one side. However I was outside and it was very windy so I wont hold that against the cigar. There was a big shift on the 2nd third. The sweetness completely dropped off on the draw and finish. The draw took on a core meaty taste (again not something I have had before but unmistakably there and very nice) along with a leathery taste and a wheat like bread( the closest thing I can compare the bread taste to is the little wheat dinner rolls people serve at Thanksgiving in the US). The pepper disappeared from the reto_hail but came out in the finish on the tip of the tongue with a mild zing. The cigar itself got quite a bit spongier and the ash fell off just before the Maduro band you can see in the picture. Around the middle of the 2nd third I started to get a bit of a nicotine high. Nothing to make you sick, just a little head rush. However I hadn't had lunch yet, and had only had a small breakfast.
FINAL 3RD

The final third brought some of the pepper back on the draw and flavors shifted to a steady smooth tobacco taste with an underlying bread. The ash fell again at the start of the final third. All in all i really enjoyed this cigar. From a my point of view I would give it a 8 out of 10. Simply because I have had better cigars but this one is up there on my personal list.
this is about where I let it go out. The smoke got too hot for my liking.
