  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Any fans of the NC Partagas line here? I like their CC counter parts but the NCs don't do it for me. I just wanted to get your' guys opinions on the NC line. :smokingbo

I've been kinda scared of them for a long time now. One of the very first cigars i smoked was a partagas and for a beginner, it was too much. So i hadn't tried one for like 10 years...unitl last summer. I was gifted 2 black label figurados; a big black stick that was somewhat intimidating. It was good!!! i've got another one sitting in the humi that's been aging since the winter of 06. i plan on burning that one this summer and i'm really looking forward to it.

I used to like the Black Labels a lot, but then either they changed or I did, and I just don't like the flavor any more.

I have smoked the Black Label and found it to be ok. But these two, the Partagas Limited Reserve Decadas Number I & II, OMG. Great sticks!

The Spanish Rosado Ramon y something or another and the Partagas in humitube pushed me over the edge to being a big smoker and buyer. I still like them very much though has been a long while since I had one.

If its not the Decadas or Cifuentes I don't think they are very good. The 160 is an over priced....well let's just say that is my humble opinion.

One time I had a partagas black on an empty stomach and 2 espressos. It was good but then after a while :barf:

I gotta try one again one of these days.

I'm also big on the black labels, but not very big on much of their other stuff. I haven't tried as much of it as I should have to make that statement, though.

How about I stop by Bloomfield one day and gift you one? For some reason the Black Label goes good with Dunkin Donuts' Milky Way Hot Chocolate for me.

Oooh, speaking of Bloomfield (Bloomfield Ave actually) you gotta try out "The Wood Pit" one day, you can even ask Lucaz about it.

I've honestly never had a NC Partagas. I've had the cuban version on a few occasions and find them to be among the finest made. I know I've had the NC version of Punch and don't really care for them much, but I believe alot of them are made in Honduras, and I rarely enjoy Honduran cigars.
