  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I was given one at the show last year that appeared to be far far lighter. Just got gifted a proper retail one about an hour ago. Probably going to burn it this afternoon...

While I appreciate the review guidelines I didn't see them prior to posting. This is a stab at humor but honestly wraps up my thought on the smoke, short and sweet. If it should be delete then no problem.

I smoked mine yesterday.

Very strong. Reminded me a little of the DD when it was fresh. Not a ton of flavor. You had to puff very lightly to discern anything other than bright strength. Was able to pull an ever so slightly sweet bready kind of flavor. Very smooth velvety texture to the smoke itself - no spice or tingle whatsoever. No burn on the retro. Ash held to the midpoint. Smoked it to the end but the final quarter was underwhelming.

Should age nicely but I'm not planning on a big purchase.

I kinda get what the OP was saying. She's attractive, pleasant, not giving you much action (just has her arm around you). What you observe her doing is kinda okay but you'd love more. Meanwhile the nicotine sneaks up and punches you in the face.

Wow the retro was killer for me one of the few sticks I couldn't do it the whole time.
I'm scared to even try. This is the first cigar in a while where I've clearly felt the nicotine. Not getting nauseous (yet) but definitely that relaxing buzz. Certainly not a cigar for beginners.

I look forward to smoking these occasionally, but not something I'd want a box of. Interesting to see how these will age.

That's why I likened them to the Tatuaje DD. When they were fresh there were two seasoned cigar professionals who had to put them down before the midpoint they were so strong. It took a long time to unmask the underlying flavors but my initial regret at the purchase has given way to just the opposite.

These may or may not become a cigar like the DD, but it should certainly mellow which may unmask other nice flavors.
