  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

With an exceptional response to NERF 2009, we’ll be closing registration on Wednesday, 2/11. If you’ve registered and find you cannot attend please email nerfreg@gmail.com so that we may allow others to register. If you have not registered after 2/11 you will be put on list to be notified as cancellations come in.

2Guys Midnight Madness Sale is March 6, once again, the night before NERF. That day and night only, most of his stock is 50-70% off. If you’re looking for something exciting to before NERF 2009 this is a can’t miss!

this might sound like a dumb question, but i was telling my gf about the NERF in march and she was curious if it's prudent to bring wives and gfs?

Depends upon their tolerance for being stinky. There are women registered. We are pretty much full, though.

However, Fanueil Hall/Quincy Market is across the street, the North End is down the block and across the street, Downtown Crossing is a 10 minute walk, Newbury/Boylston Streets are a 15 minute walk. Hang on to your credit cards!

ok, tomorrow is the NERF. it will be my first "public" gathering of cigar smokers (besides my buddies and stuff at home) and i was curious was is good etiquette? is it okay to bring my own smokes or should i be buying them there to support the businesses in attendance? probably sounds stupid, but any hints/tips would be much appreciated.

Both. Bring some of your own to smoke and share, and also look at buying something form the Smoke shop hosting the HERF. That is the proper etiquette IMHO.

I went to Casa Fuente to smoke with Randy the other day, and I brought my own, and did not buy from them, only because I bought four of their BTLs a few days eariler.

Nobody's going to be watching you, but it's just good form to buy something from Churchill's humidor (and bar). They don't profit directly from NERF. Besides, you'll get so many cigars just for showing up that you'll still be way ahead of the game. See ya there.

Everybody who didn't make it once again missed a great time. Bags full of smokes and swag. 100+ attendees and I think everyone won something. Looking forward to NERF 2010. Thanks, Al.

Thank you guys for coming, it was an amazing day outside (or so I'm told). Everyone won at least one doorprize and there were some pretty tasty doorprizes.

Again without you guys showing up, it'd just be another afternoon smoking with Rockridge, BostnBill, fpkjr, and The Eye.
