Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.
Correct... this is word I received from a fellow Balvenie enthusiast who is a little more "in the know" than me.Balvenie has no mention of it on their site!
yeah... would be cool. Those 17yo sherry bottles are harder to find, although I think a few are out there in that $120 or $130 range, which actually is probably a bit on the cheap side for their level of regard. Their original MSRP was around $80, though - a testament to the rise in scotch prices...OOOOHHHH... Please tell me this is 15 year aged a couple more years in Sherry....
I've noticed Scotch prices in general going up since I started getting into them. Is it some kind of supply problem, or what? I can't imagine sales have increased enough to increases prices ... not in this economy.probably closing in on $200. I think its around now for about $180. Prices have been going up crazily. When the 17yos first came out they started at $80 ish, now they are $130 ish. The portwood was around $100 at one point.
Is the carribean cask a 19yo? I only know of the 14yo. A 19yo would be new, and VERY intriguing as I only know of one place with the 17yo Rum Wood in stock (at least one place that I could actually get it from).
The 14yo carribean cask is a great cigar whisky.
