  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

PSALM 2010

Obama is the shepherd I did not want.
He leadeth me beside the still factories.
He restoreth my faith in Conservatism.
He guideth me in the path of unemployment for his party's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the bread line,
I shall fear no hunger, for his bailouts are with me.
He has anointed my income with taxes,
My expenses runneth over.
Surely, poverty and hard living will follow me all the days of my life,
And I will live in Government Housing forever.

Let his years be few; let someone else take his position.

Yeah, it's too bad that we were stuck with that fascist for 8 years though. :guitar:

Not sure which fascist you mean Greg - Ha!

Hate to burst your bubble, but GW was a progressive in republican clothing - by definition a Fascist is one in government who controls corporations (such as manufacturing like automobiles; banking; housing; medical; and reduces the power of elected bodies such as congress or parliaments; and usurps or diminishes the functions of the courts.) Additionally, Fascism is a step between socialism and communism and not a conservative form of government.

So - yes 8 years of the progressive Clinton; 8 years of the progressive GW Bush; and now the reign of the socialist/fascist BHO. By-the-way, the originator of fascism is said to have been the socialist Mussolini who learned his craft from progressives such as Teddy Roosevelt, (and most especially) Woodrow Wilson and others for whom he and his student Hitler learned the finer points of Fascism (fine points such as eugenics, book burning, and control of corporations - all of which were developed in the U.S. In fact I believe it was Mussolini or Hitler who was quoted as saying something to the effect that they had a lot to learn from U.S. Progressives in the thirties about eugenics and other fine points of Fascism) Hitler's bunch was named "The National Socialist Party" from which the acronym Nazi is derived. I'm afraid progressive historical revisionist (sometimes using other titles) have clouded the facts over the last 50 - 100 years - they are and have always proven to be relentless in their application of the axiom, "The ends justify the means", and in their goal of the redistribution of wealth along Marxist lines.

Hence my confusion when you referred to 8 years of some un-named Fascist - could have been any of a number of individuals :cbig:

Totally agree with you regarding the Libertarian Movement (except of course one might prefer a strong military to guarantee the strength to resist foreign intervention) - most Americans (approx 85%) when surveyed - support the principles of American Libertarianism - much like the founding Fathers of U.S. - remember them? The Framers of the Constitution ~:0)

Sadly though, when a third party is introduced into the political mix - the coservative (libertarian & republican) point of view suffers the loss of votes to both possible conservative groups and the remaining votes go to the Left wing party which at this time has been hi-jacked by radical members of the far-left marxist faction and they benefit from the split in the conservative vote.

That is why, historically, a third party shifts the country to the left rather than forwarding the majority conservative, grass-roots of American. It is unfortunate, but it is a fact of political life.

One of the Brothers here has a link to a quiz that helps a person understand whether or not they are a Libertarian - perhaps he'll post the link again. :ccowboy:
