  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

had a couple of fingers of woodford reserve "sweet mash" bourbon last night. don't understand the whole process, but it differs from the traditional sour mash. it wasn't what i would call sweet, but it seemed a touch more caramely, with plenty of pepper on the back end. of course that could have been from all all the cigars i smoked yesterday.

Although I am a dyed in the wool Jack Daniels fan, I recently was turned on to Basil Hayden. Very nice caramel, smokey flavor. Not nearly the bite of JD (which I love) but very nice, nonetheless.

Lately, I've been drinking Van Winkle Family Reserve Rye, which is a Kentucky straight rye whiskey. It's aged 13 years and is one of the most complex whiskeys that I have ever tried. And, at 95.6 proof, it's fairly potent as well.
