  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Nicky Blaine's in Indianapolis?

I'm doing more and more traveling for work from Chicago. Going to exotic places like Detroit and Indianapolis. Last time in Indy I went to Nicky Blaine's right downtown. Any of my brother's have any Indy hangouts? Also visited Cigar Haven in Fishers, In a couple of times.

Was just in Inday a few weeks back. Nicky Blaines is still a great go-to spot, has an outstanding single malt selection.

Thanks for the response.....I'm in Indy for a couple of days and just got back from the Indy Cigar Bar on east 86th. Another good spot. Had a couple of bourbons (my first, I've been a vodka guy for 30 years). Had a 1792 and a couple Basel Hadens (spelling?) along with an Avo and an HC Corojo......A good night. The Indy Cigar Bar is a bourbon and cigar bar, much smaller than Nicky's but good conversation. I think I'll skip my appointments and spend tomorrow there (lol)

Nicky Blaine's always!! Love that place. I'll be in Indianapolis early August and I can't wait to go there for a end of evening smoke every night.

I was at Nicky Blaine's three years ago when I went down to Indy for a Colt's V Bronco's game. Had a great time except for the Bronco's losing. Plenty of micro-brew pub's in the area.

When I go down to Indy for work, I definitely try to stop at the Indy Cigar Bar. Corey (the owner) is a great guy...they have a great line up of scotch and top notch selection of cigars. Nicky Blaine's is a good low-key lounge. Another place you can smoke is the bar off of the Omni Severin hotel. I usually stay at the Crowne Plaza when I am there...and the Omni is right across the street.

There's also the Tobacco Shop on 38th/Lafayette (NW side), Cigar Box on Shadeland (not too far from Indy Cigar Bar). Both have decent selections, of the two I prefer Cigar Box, but the Tobacco Shop has a bigger lounge to smoke in (I just don't know about the humidor...a little too humid IMO)

That is the problem with traveling for work...you need to find a good place to smoke, and you find too many!
