You should never need to sharpen a Xikar. They all have a lifetime warranty. If they get dull or break you can send it back to Xikar for a new one. Or exchange it at any b&m that is a Xikar distributor.
Also stop by the introductions threads & introduce yourself to us.

Try getting some rubbing alcohol and cleaning the blades. Sometimes the oils from the cigar get on the blades and make them seem dull when they really aren't.

that makes sense... i was trying to figure out why, after a few months, it would go from slicing a cap like it was butter to having to push a little harder like i was trying to get through a block of cheddar.

thanks for the tip.
