  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

You should never need to sharpen a Xikar. They all have a lifetime warranty. If they get dull or break you can send it back to Xikar for a new one. Or exchange it at any b&m that is a Xikar distributor.

Try getting some rubbing alcohol and cleaning the blades. Sometimes the oils from the cigar get on the blades and make them seem dull when they really aren't.

that makes sense... i was trying to figure out why, after a few months, it would go from slicing a cap like it was butter to having to push a little harder like i was trying to get through a block of cheddar.

thanks for the tip.
