  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

noob storage question

I have given up on ACID cigars - too sweet, but I really like the Natural line by Drew Estate. I know that ACID cigars, for the most part, are "infused," so they should be stored separately from normal cigars.

My question: Should I also store Natural brand cigars in a separate container? The Drew Estate website says Natural cigars are not infused, but some of them taste chocolately and sweet to me.

If someone could clear this little matter up for me, I'd be in yer debt :)

Thanks

I have tried several of the naturals by drew estates, personally I would not store them together with other better quality cigars. Even though they aren't fragrent like the Acids. The still carry a rather noticable fragrence to them. for the saftey of your other cigars I would bypass mixing in one humidor.

My two cents.

Thanks Kelly, I'm just gathering opinions and I appreciate yours. I actually sent a "customer service request" to Drew Estates and I have not heard back yet.

I got a response to my e-mail to Drew Estate. They say store them together, but the rep also claimed that it's ok to store Acids with regular cigars...so, I have to question the usefulness of that info.

I'm going to store some of the less-fragrant Naturals with some regular stogies (I'll store my better cigars elsewhere during this experiment) in a small humi and see what happens. Thanks for the replies :)

Good idea. My only thought is that cigars are like sponges. They absorb oders, flavors etc from their surrounding hence cedar sleeves. I put a Kalua cigar I received at the big smoke in a baggy with 6 cigars I got at the show. By the time I got home they all had acquired a slight oder of the kalua. It is easy enough to separate the cigars. Better safe than sorry.
