They work! Put a few in at the bottom of your bowl before packing in your tobacco and these little ceramic pebbles will absorb a whole bunch of moisture.

The Nording Keystone Pipes are pretty badass too. And very affordable. I like mine.

I was going to ask the same thing. Maybe they're good for a few bowls??? Then dispose and put a few new ones in then??

I actually bought the pipe that it was intended for and it it smoked perfectly . Also add it to my other pipes and they work great, I would def recommend them
