  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Nording Torpedo Cigar Review

The Nording was created by Rocky Patel for the famous Danish pipe maker Erik Nording. This Honduran made cigar has a Nicaraguan filler, Mexican binder and Costa Rican maduro wrapper. The Nording Torpedo is a small cigar packing a big punch (4×54).

This cigar has a beautiful oily maduro wrapper free of any major veins or imperfections. The draw was very easy, but not surprising considering how short this cigar was. The unlit draw of this cigar even had nice hint of flavor. It lit with ease and it burned evenly, I’ve noticed most of my burn problems end up being environmental issues so I try to keep my humidity at 65% in my humidors anymore.

Alright we’ve covered all the boring stuff now onto the flavor. I almost burned my lips on this cigar, and the doctors say I won’t need skin grafts for my fingers but they don’t suggest I “nub” a cigar that far down again. Yeah, it was that good. This cigar had a very rich tobacco flavor with a very thick texture and feel to the smoke. This rich flavor was complimented by hints of roasted nuts, coffee and caramel sweetness. It has a very similar flavor profile to The Rocky Patel Edge Maduro although not as harsh. I will be picking a box of these when I get the chance. Rating 9.5 out of 10.

Nice review...if they're like The Edge then I'll probably like them.

By the way, these are on sale at Atlantic Cigars:

Nording
Man I wish I would have known that, my favorite shop isn't carrying them at the moment. I'll have to check the others around. I just bought a box of Belmore Cameroons, which I've reviewed before.

From what I understand there is only a maduro line. Mine was a rather light shade for a maduro but all the websites say there are only maduros.

Ah. Makes sense. Mine was light to be a maduro. A very nice cigar tho.

The StogieReview guys recently did a video review on the Nording. In fact, I think Jerry was very much pleased with the cigar. I'm certainly going to have to get me some as he (and now Cigar Jack) gave this such a glowing review. Makes my mouth water just thinking about it...

After reading the reviews about this smoke, I decided to smoke the one jeeper gave me months ago. Every time he came over to my house he asked if I had smoked it yet and my answer was always "No".

So tonight I broke it out and I must say I am truly impressed. This is one hell of a smoke, definitely worthy of a box purchase or two. I haven't nubbed a cigar like this in a long time. It's 3/4" right now and I still don't want to put it down. Nice selection Jeremy, it's time for some boxes of these babies!

I agree, the price is very good on these too. I also have them around my area. Box split anyone? Or two?
