  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Hey Guys,

My local B&M has this really sweet notch cutter on their sales counter, I want one! I have one of the plastic notch cutters and it seems to work fine, but am worried that the $5 price tag means that its a throw-a-way cutter :(

What is the best notch cutter around?

I'd sure like to get my hands on a nice v cutter. Until then my xikar mtx does the trick.

I have never used a v cutter but i have always wanted to purchase one. I don't know if I would like it though. I am a fan of a lot of smoke in a cigar and a real good draw.

Does the cut effect that?

I don't use a cutter that much anymore. I just take a pinch off the cap and I'm good to go.

If I do need a cutter, I have an xikar and the tat cutter I got from NHC.

I don't know where I saw it but some custom knife maker has a V cutter made with some mammoth tusk. Now I could care less if it's mammoth tusk but it was made buy some dude in the USA that makes sharp things for a living and not in china. I bet it'd be a nice cutter to have if I could find the site again.

I love a good V cut,,but you'd better have a good cutter to do this. The cheap ones dont last and they don't cut all that well. I have a BostonCutter that cost me close to $100 ten years ago but it cuts like brand new and it's 10 years old,,,well worth it.
