Since I seem to be dicking around today and talking about BBQ (and driving myself nuts - I'm starving!), I figured why not open a real can of worms?

Brothers and sisters? Preference for BBQ sauces - styles and/or specific brands?

Don't use much vinegar base, but use lots of all the others depending on the choice of meat and my mood I guess.

Gun to my head though- dry rub. If done right it can't be beat.

I like a good tomato-based sauce but the vinegar-based stuff is growing on me. Can't quite get into mustard-based sauces (which is odd since I love mustard).

I know mass market commercial stuff will turn off many.....and I've tried a variety.....but I keep coming back to Sweet Baby Rays.

I typically make my own.... but... Sweet Baby Rays is good stuff...

90% of the time I go the dry rub route... the remaining 10% I will usually go with a mustard base sauce.. depending on the meat...

on rare, rare occasion I'll brew up something vinegar based...

I never go the tomato/ketchup route..

Always keep some in my fridge. Comes in a variety of styles as well. Pretty damn good for a commercial sauce.
